Policy

The Hispanic Community for Policy (HCP) is committed to promoting open, positive, and informed dialogue between policymakers, opinion-leaders, and the Hispanic Community.

HCP plans to advocate public policies on behalf of the Hispanic community in keeping with our mission.

HCP Policy initiatives

HCP has created and launched several policy-related initiatives to involve Hispanic Americans in public policy and to provide a forum for dialogue:

  • Latin America Caucus – a bipartisan Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives focusing on the region and policy, working with Members of Congress to create
  • Policy Papers – a two-page "snap-shot" or summary of policy issues of interest to Hispanic Americans, working with young Hispanic professionals and students to write
  • Pueblo Hispano – a monthly newsletter that provides informative and objective articles on current issues facing the Hispanic Community
  • Ideas Del Pueblo – a Hispanic Op-Ed forum, where Hispanics can share their views, organizations can write editorials and Hispanics and non-Hispanics alike can develop their understanding of the Hispanic community

Ideas Del Pueblo is now LIVE at:  www.ideasdelpueblo.com.
